The goal of the non-profit organization Aurora Aid Foundation is to create a support center (including integration of cultural projects) that provides support and opportunities for people temporarily sheltered in Ireland due to the war in Ukraine, as well as for residents of Ireland suffering from high levels of loneliness and other factors.
The project aims to improve the adaptation of these groups, support their psychological well-being, and promote social interaction. We also pay special attention to Ukrainians arriving in Ireland who experience problems with mental health and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Our organization seeks to unite efforts in supporting Irish people suffering from loneliness and residents of Ukraine in need of psychological assistance and support. These two goals are closely intertwined, as providing support to these population groups contributes to improving their psychological and social well-being. We believe that establishing this center will help alleviate the burden on the healthcare department and other relevant organizations by providing specialized assistance and support to citizens, thus improving their quality of life and enriching public life in Ireland.
List of activities of the cultural center: Psychological support: individual counseling; Group online therapy sessions for adults; Psychological Workshops: Organization of webinars and workshops with psychologists on various topics related to mental health and adaptation; Legal consultations: Provision of legal consultations on migration issues for those seeking information on residency rules in Ireland.
